16. Indian Red Cross Act - 1920.

17. SIDA - Swedish International Development Agency - NTCP (T.B).

18. DANIDA - NBCP.


19. Co-operative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere - CARE -- aid in ICDS.
20. Dose of Human Anti-Rabies serum is 20 IU/Kg ..as a single dose.

21. Dose of Equine Anti-Rabies serum is 40 IU / Kg as a single dose.

NOTE OF WARNING : There is a maximum of  3000 IU for Equine serum.

For eg: in question they may ask the dose of equine serum for a person of 80Kg, and spinally we will write 3200 IU, if there is such a choice.

22. Kyasanur Forest Disease (K.F.D)
      - It's also known as 'Monkey Disease', but Major reservoirs of KFD are Rats and Squirrels,
        and major Amplifiers are Cattle >> Monkeys !!!.
      - Major Vectors are HARD TICKS, more than 15 species involved.. but soft ticks also transmit !
      - Hard Ticks - Hemophysalis spinigera and Hemophysalis turtura, the latter in INDIA.
      - More common in Dry season - january to june.

23. Biological control of Mosquitoes - Fish
       1. Gambusia affinis.
       2. Lebister reticularis ('Barbados Millions')
