Biological Transmission of Diseases



Biological Transmission of Diseases 3 Types 


1. Propagative : Only multiplication of organisms, no change in form inside the vectors 
                
                              Eg:- Plague bacilli in Rat fleas.

2. Cyclopropagative : Both multiplication in number and change in form.

                                Eg:- Malarial parasites in female anopheles mosquiotes.

3. Cyclodevelopmental : Only change in form, but no multiplication in numbers.

                                  Eg:- Filarial parasite in Culex mosquito**, Guinea Worm in Cyclops.
