High Anion Gap Acidosis

Mnemonic is MUD-PILES:

M : methanol

U : uremia (renal failure)

D : diabetic ketoacidosis

P : paraldehyde

I : Iron, Isoniazid

L : Lactic Acidosis.

E : ethylene glycol, ethanol.

S : salicylates

Thx Nithin..Added 'L' for Lactic Acidosis , and remember that cardiac failure can cause LA. This is a well known mnemonic.
